Board treasurer (2015-2019). Oscar has a doctorate in International Development (University of East Anglia, UK). He is a lawyer specialising in financial development with an interest in sustainable impact investment. His professional experience includes working in the UK as researcher at the University of Kent’s School of Law, at the consulting company International Development UEA (DEVco) in the University of East Anglia, and at the University of London’s Institute of Education (IoE, now part of University College London). He has been President of the Board at the Centre for Research on Consumption and the Consumer (non-for-profit based in Mexico). He is a member of the Advisory Board of ‘Causa Natura’ (think-tank based in Mexico) and of the Quetzalcóatl Rural Development Centre (non-for-profit agency based in Mexico). Oscar is an active member of the Mexican Talent Network in the UK (the UK’s chapter of Global Network MX, for Mexican professionals living abroad), where he participates in diverse activities with particular interest in international co-operation for development. He focuses on the social finance sector, knowledge transfer projects, entrepreneurship, social enterprises, and culture. Oscar specializes in methodologies for qualitative research and software for qualitative data analysis and management (CAQDAS).
